The Role of a CDRE in Divorce Mediation

Speakers: Bero Porter

I am a Certified divorce Real Estate (CDRE®) through The Ilumni Institute and specifically trained to handle all real property matters, regardless of the conflict level, as families experience divorce. I am also trained in divorce and family mediation by Woody Moston and Susan Guthrie and have attended Terri Breer divorce mediation training. These qualifications position me to best represent divorcing clients as an unbiased neutral third-party.

I have presented CLE sessions for the San Diego Family Law Bar and have been a regular speaker at the Second Saturday divorce workshops since 2021. As a member of the Ilumni Speakers Bureau (ISB), I will be able to offer CLE credits for my presentations to family law professionals if desired.

Typically, real property is the largest asset for the families and often, there are potential complicating factors related to the real property that need to be resolved early on during the case and prior to a settlement agreement. I propose a workshop on the role of a CDRE in divorce mediation and how a CDRE can collaborate with other members of the team to ensure a smooth transition for families during mediation.
